The Smugglers Rest
Built in the 1800s, the Smugglers Rest nestles in the quaint coastal village of Mortehoe, just a short walk from one of Europe’s best beaches. Having welcomed visitors for over 100 years, this historic building has recently undergone extensive renovations under the care of new owners Stacey and Will, transforming the old bar into the charming Miss Fea’s bistro.
The Smugglers Rest offers 8 spacious en suite rooms, boasting stunning countryside views, Will and Stacey have worked tirelessly to improve the building whilst being sympethic to its history, restoring original features and resinstalling victorian style features wherever possible.
Miss Fea's Cafe has evolved from the opening 5 years ago into a relaxed bistro serving a locally sourced fresh menu 5 nights a week and Sunday lunch on Sundays. Our bistro is all about quality, we focus on serving great food in a relaxed environment. We want to showcase the very best ingredients we can find from Devon's land and shore. The menu is well balanced to cater for a variety of dietary requirements with a focus on fresh seasonal sustainable produce. Bookings via the website are strongly advised.
