The Thirsty Scholar
A former Coaching House situated in the heart of historic Penryn, 'The Thirsty Scholar' is part of a long history that has seen a brewery or an ale house on this site for more than 600 years and it enjoys an atmosphere that cannot be re-created.
You can be sure to find a warm friendly welcome; comfortable Bed and Breakfast; traditional local ales and ciders; delicious evening meals every day and all day on Sundays; a large sheltered beer garden and an open fire.
Our menu consists entirely of 'home cooked' fresh produce which we source locally. It will vary and each weekend there are additional seasonal 'Specials' available. Our commitment to providing carefully prepared, high quality food and exceptional value has ensured a growing reputation amongst locals and visitors alike.
