The Station Kitchen
The station kitchen is perfectly unique and considered one of the best restaurants in Dorset. The quirky and vintage dining carriage brings an old world location into the modern day, delivering contemporary twists on the classics and hearty rustic dishes ready to appease even the most indecisive pallet and inspire any foodie's soul. The now-famous dining carriage, and over 100 years old, was used as a makeshift hospital carriage during WW1 and used to transport the troops back from The Battle Of The Somme. This is certainly the place to be on your weekend in Dorset, The Station is renowned for being the go-to special occasion restaurant in the area and has even become a bit of a hang out for several celebrities who have been spotted on more than a few occasions. Found on the edge of the old west bay station platform, they invite you to come aboard and join them at the Station Kitchen for a delicious journey into our world of culinary delights. Serving incredible plates topped with ingredients, all sourced within a 15-mile radius, what's more, when the weather allows, Head Chef Claire grows all their own leaves, edibles, some fruits, and vegetables in our own herb garden on our platform with a little help from their kitchen gardener Linda.
