Gritchie Brewing Co.

Spilling over the rolling hills of the Wiltshire and Dorset countryside, Gritchie Brewing Company is a ‘beer farm’ located on Ashcombe Estate near the town of Shaftesbury. Our story harks back to the first fermentation when the guardian angels gathered over a clay vat and proclaimed, ’It is good’. 
It’s made for conversation in a pub, connection around a fire and companionship at a table.

The Brewer’s Lore range draws from the loric traditions of England and is an ode to creativity through brewing time-honoured and modern beer styles. These beers, accompanied by their celestial counterparts, embody the connection between communal gatherings, where flavours are savoured together, and moments of solitary contemplation nursing a delicious glass of ale.
The artwork for the Brewer’s Lore range, beautifully illustrated by We Are Beard, draws upon themes of folklore and religious iconography, in keeping with the brewery brand and the deep interest in loric tradition held by brewery owner and acclaimed screenwriter, producer and director, Guy Ritchie.
Drawing from the land that surrounds the farm, our 20BBL brewhouse sits within rustic stone-built barns, overlooking expansive fields where our own Maris Otter barley is grown for malting and beer production.

Our beer is available throughout South West England and in London in a variety of pubs, bars, restaurants and independent bottle shops. However, the best places to sample our beers are in our two venues: the Compton Abbas Airfield near Shaftesbury and Lore Of The Land pub in London.
